The OOPA Executive Director (ED) is accountable to a volunteer Board of Directors, and responsible for OOPA staff and volunteers. The ED manages all aspects of OOPA operations, events and activities. The OOPA is a state affiliate of the American Optometric Association.
All of the following are the responsibility of the ED, who can delegate tasks, but not the accountability to ensure all tasks are done well. The ED is responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest integrity, productivity and management standards while performing the functions of leading the state optometric association.
